I Remember…..

I remember being very young riding in the car with my father. He used to listen to AM talk radio shows and he would listen very intently. I decided that I needed to do the same. So I listened. At one point my father was nodding in agreement with whatever the man had said. I asked: “Dad? How does this man know you?” Dad replied: “He doesn’t know me son…he is the man on the radio”. I said: “It sounds like he is talking to you..like he knows you!” My father nodded with a smile that I caught from the back seat of the car in his rear view mirror. It was then that I decided…..I wanted to be the man on the radio.
